The videos and pictures from Tim Lincecum’s second career no-hitter
So far in the 2014 season, only Josh Beckett and Clayton Kershaw had thrown no-hitters. Now, as in the past two years in Matt Cain against the Astros in 2012 and Tim Lincecum against the Padres in 2013, Lincecum has done it again against the Padres. Tried as the Padres might to slow the game down, perhaps give him four balls in his last plate appearance to mess with his rhythm, and try to adjust, Lincecum shut the Padres down minus a 2nd inning walk to Chase Headley. Timmy joins Christy Mathewson as the only Giants to have multiple no-hitters, and also is in a group of three others that have thrown two no-hitters in a calendar year timeframe along with Homer Bailey, Nolan Ryan, and Sandy Koufax. Some exclusive names and notable talents. This is the sixteenth no-hitter for the Giants franchise. Here are the videos. Three of the last four no-hitters by the Giants have come against the Padres, between two of Timmy’s and from Jonathan Sanchez in 2009.
